Our mission goes beyond entertaining. We are committed to making a positive impact on the reptile community by providing a compassionate and supportive sanctuary for abandoned or unwanted reptiles. We ensure that each reptile in our care receives the attention and nurturing they need to thrive. 

Reptiles are often misunderstood and suffer from poor care and impulse purchases. I firmly believe that education is crucial in addressing these issues. At Scale Tales, I strive to provide compassionate care, share accurate information, and offer rescue and rehabilitation services to ensure that as many reptiles as possible find loving homes.

I’m Charlotte, the owner and operator of Scale Tales. My journey in the world of reptiles is fueled by a deep love for these incredible creatures and a commitment to education. I have years of experience in animal care and I am an alumna of the Karen Pryor Academy for Dog Trainers, where I gained experience with various species. I am currently pursuing my Master Herpetologist certificate through the Amphibian Foundation.

My approach is grounded in kindness, empathy, and staying updated on the best practices, extending this philosophy to all my animals.
